Back from Sardinia

Ciao!

I am now back from Sardinia. You never knew I went? Well, now you do :). I arrived home on Sunday night. I've had a terrible cold though so please excuse me for posting so late!

I was met with a lovely surprise when I returned: I won Little Miss Cutie hosted by Hoxha! It was extremely close; only half a point between 1st and 2nd!

Hoxha generously gifted me two items from my Store wish list; Pumped Up Pom Pom Hat and Over the Shoulder Braid. I can't wait to use them!

Sims 3 Seasons: Aliens

(Poll at the bottom - it would make me so happy if you voted in it :3)

A couple of days ago, The Sims 3 posted a fairly in-depth look at aliens in The Sims 3 Seasons on their blog! I just read it now and my excitement for Seasons has grown considerably!

I was expecting just your average green guy that abducts people, dissects their brain and that would be it. But they can do much more - you can even play as an alien. How cool is that?! You can terrorise the town with your weird UFO fire laser beams and watch sims run around like ants under a magnifying glass on a sunny day.

Told you so.

If you haven't yet heard of the craze that has taken over the world, "Gangnam Style" by PSY, I am shocked. I don't think there is anyway you couldn't know about it!

• It comes up as the first suggestion on Google after typing only "gan", before some guy called "Gandhi" - whoever that is...*
• It holds the Guinness World Record for "most liked" video in Youtube history with 3,653,835 likes (at time of writing).
• The official video has over 300,000,000 views on Youtube after only 12 weeks since it was uploaded.

Little Miss Cutie: Assignment 3

After Sensation closing, I decided to get back into some modelling competitions because I miss them!

I'm only in one at the moment: "Little Miss Cutie" (cycle 1) hosted by Hoxha! You can find her blog here. I recommend it, she just uploaded her beautiful Asian model Mae Ling.

Anyway...

I just handed in my third assignment which was a toy advertisement:

Finally: I updated my Archives

So I don't know if you have noticed or not, but I just updated my "Archives" page! Yes - I actually updated them.

I tried before but had real difficulty working out how to show the pictures - I settled on slideshows created with Photosnack. I love that site now :D!

I still need to create a couple more slideshows but I'm getting there :).

What d'ya think?

Sims 3 Crashing? DEP Fix for Windows

Recently I ordered Sims 3 Showtime and Supernatural. When they arrived I installed them and started my game. Then, my game crashed. I hadn't got past the title screen!

Luckily, I knew what the problem was. I had forgotten to add Showtime and Supernatural's .exe files to my DEP (Data Execution Prevention). So, I added them to my DEP and rebooted my computer. It worked! Yay!

If this is happening to you, with any expansion or even the base game then DEP may be your solution. A helpful tutorial for Windows 7 users can be found here by games4theworld. I have Windows Vista, and I will show you how to fix this crashing problem with DEP (if that is the cause) with pictures and text - isn't this exciting!
